Marc-Alan Barnette is an original. Aptly classified as “In-Your-Face-Country-Soul,” Marc-Alan's music and Marc-Alan himself have created a huge buzz in the music scene. Barnette is the king of reinventing himself- a dichotomy of heartfelt and hilarious, crazy and down-to-earth.  Because of the variety of hats Barnette dons for each of his shows, he certainly keeps every audience on its toes, thoroughly entertained and wanting more.

After a move to Nashville in 1988, Marc-Alan scored a cut with Shelby Lynne his first night in town. He has had success in Nashville as a writer, several publishing deals, and cuts by John Berry and David Ball, including the current single “Too Much Blood in My Alcohol Level” on the Ball “Freewheeler” album. Kim Cole Toronto singer/songwriter Kim Cole began her music career in earnest in 1996 when a friend convinced her to take a vacation in Nashville, Tennessee. Coincidentally, that was right around the time she invested in her first guitar and started teaching herself to play.  Serendipity.  She wrote her first song a few weeks after returning home, and hasn't stopped.  In 2005 she recorded and released her first CD titled I'll Take The Cowboy, about which Toronto Star music critic, Greg Quill, says is “a very classy, understated recording that presents an intimate and focused portrait of a singer and composer who deserves to be heard.”

Karla Crawford Raised in the small town of Midland Ontario, ran the gamut of community talent contests at the local United Church, and even ran the Karaoke night at the local bar, but Karla Crawford is anything but typical.

Her earliest musical influence was that of Elvis Presley and his renditions of country's most influential artists.  Although Karla is also a songwriter, the material she records and performs is a group effort.

Her new album,  'Blame It On Something'  incorporates a handful of collaborative writing match-ups, most notably including Karla and Nashville based hit songwriter Tim Taylor.  John Dymond, who co-produced with Tom McKillip, plays band leader to a who's – who of seasoned session pros through a collection of polished, contemporary country that would sound as at home on a pick-up truck stereo in some rural backwater thirty years ago as it would on major market country radio today.

Blair Packham Stocky. Bearded. With a warm smile and a sense of humour (and, occasionally, a bad temper).

Blair's a success. He's been a professional musician all his life. Former leader of the late '80s pop band The Jitters. He writes television music and jingles and his music finds its way into films and shows like Dawson's Creek. Writers and critics and fellow musicians tumble over themselves with praise like "Great playing; tuneful, honest, sharp-witted songs; one of Canada's best unsung songwriters." The guys in Barenaked Ladies play his songs in their dressing rooms before they go on stage.

He produces critically acclaimed CDs -- at least five so far -- two for himself, and three for his partner, Arlene Bishop. He writes songs that are not clichés. His models are, of course, The Beatles and Squeeze and Elvis (Costello, not Presley). He's got attitude and wit and smarts. He collaborates with people like Craig Northey, Tam and Tash Amabile (remembered for their work with The Pursuit of Happiness), Danny Michel, and Fergus Hambleton, front man for the long-running reggae/ska band The Satellites. Blair makes music for a living and loves it.

Roger Zuraw Another year, another Tin Pan North. And me being on stage with some of Canada's best songwriters – one thrill after another!

This past year has been a continuation of airplay in Canada, USA, and Europe. I've even received requests for my CD's from Argentina and Denmark. All of this makes this old geezer and crotchety ole coot hobbyist very happy.
