TIN PAN NORTH SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL Hosts SONGWRITERS at London Music Club – 470 Colborne Street, London, Ontario

WEDNESDAY MAY 26TH, 2010, 7:30 pm

Toronto, Canada.   Anyone in the music business will tell you, “it all begins with a song” and on Wednesday, May 26th, 2010, the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) Regional Chapter of Waterloo-London will host feature songwriters from the US and Canada at the London Music Club, 470 Colborne Street, London, Ontario to talk about the songs they’ve penned, and who has recorded them.  Live acoustic performances in “rounds” are guaranteed to engage and enthrall.

Featured US headliner and Nashville based Steve Leslie has had cuts recorded and performed by Kenny Rogers, George Strait, Rhonda Vincent, and Mark Chestnutt and earned a Grammy award certificate to Ricky Skaggs 2004 Grammy winning Best Bluegrass Album.  Canadian feature headliner, Saskatoon based Codie Prevost is a multi-award winner with his work recorded by Grammy award winning producer Randy Kohrs.

Joining these writers are Rich Baker whose collaborations with John Landry have garnered critical acclaim; London favourite, Shelly Rastin who can count Randy Bachman, Byron Hill and Jason Barry as her recording fans; Stacey Zegers who’s opened for Emerson Drive; Tom McInerney who won awards for the 2009 Great American Song Contest and the 2009 100% Music international songwriting contest; NSAI Regional Chapter Co-ordinator, Waterloo-London, singer and songwriter David Joseph, CCMA and NSAI long time member, singer and songwriter Bruce Madole

“The London Music Club is very supportive of a variety of musical talent,” said David Joseph, “NSAI and the Waterloo-London chapter are happy to host TIN PAN NORTH here and we look forward to the songwriters meeting our London and area audience”.

The Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) is America’s largest not-for-profit songwriters’ organization.  NSAI represents the songwriting community and exists to protect the intellectual property rights of songwriters.
